Sweet almond (prunus dulcis):
Has been used to help inflammation, ease itching from eczema and dermatitis. Sweet Almond oil is high in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E.
Jojoba (simmonsia sinesis):
Jojoba is not actually an oil but a golden coloured liquid wax which melts at about 10ºC. It is used as an anti-inflammatory and is therefore beneficial for complaints such as arthritis.
Coconut (cocos nucifera):
Coconut carrier oil is a very light oil making it easy to use in massage. This is a refined oil so does not carry any scent of coconut. An excellent emollient making it ideal for use dry skin.
Grapeseed (vitis vinifera):
Grapeseed carrier oil is probably one of the most commonly used massage oils, it tends not to leave the skin feeling greasy. Grapeseed is a finer oil than sweet almond.
Sesame seed (Sesamum indicum):
Sesame seed oil is a good choice for massage. It should ideally be blended with other carrier oils. Otherwise, it may overpower a blend. Sesame seed oil contains approximately 16% saturated fat, 40% oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid), 44% linoleic acid (an omega-6 essential fatty acid), and less than 1% alpha linolenic acid (an omega-3 essential fatty acid). It has a distinctively sweet, nutty sesame aroma.
Aloe vera carrier oil is perfect for aromatherapy massage, room freshening, bath and other uses
